Sinbad

Hi my name is Sinbad and I am a 2 year old male.

I am a very sweet boy. I love to cuddle and always ask for pets and like to be where ever my people are. I’m am curious about everything and I love to play , I do get along with dogs but I do like my space and my swat at a dog if it charges me. I like all kinds of food and treats. I get along with preferably younger cats not older Tom cats I don’t do well with male cats I am FIV Positive but I have not shown any symptoms. I am looking for my forever home. Also I can not be adopted out to anyone that is immune compromised as it would not be a good thing for either of us. If interested in adopting me please message the spca for further details at adoptions.spspca@gmail.com

Sweetie

This is Sweetie aka Blaze. She is a 7 year old spayed and chipped female. She is current on vaccines and rabies. During testing to be placed in SPCA adoption she tested positive for FIV. She is actually very healthy however. She would like to be rehomed with someone willing to take on an FIV positive cat. Her original owner passed away in November. She is very sweet and and laid back. She does well with other cats, no dog experience. FIV is only passed by cat bite and she is not aggressive. It would be best if I only went to a home with another FIV positive cat so that we don’t risk the spread of it. Also I can not be adopted out to anyone that is immune compromised as it would be good for either of us. If interested in adopting me please message the spca for further details at adoptions.spspca@gmail.com

Grapefruit

Hi, my name is Grapefruit, but my foster mom calls me Grace. I’m 1 year old but I think I’m still a tiny kitten.

I love to be up high. My favorite places to hang out are the top of the cat tree, the window sill, and the headboard of my foster mom’s bed. I just recently discovered toys, but I’m still figuring out how to play.

I get very nervous. I’m scared of new people, things, and environments. It takes me some time to get comfortable, but once I pick my favorite spots, I feel safest there.

I love pets on my head. You’ll have to approach me slowly to pet me, but once you start, I’ll yell at you if you stop. I even like to return the favor and pet you back. Sometimes, I give little love bites instead, so I’m not ready to be around little kids.

I do well with other cats or would be happy by myself. I have trouble standing my ground at dinner time, so make sure I have my own bowl and a quiet place to eat. I’m scared of dogs- they make too much noise- and would prefer a home without them.

I’m spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on shots. This is covered by my $150 adoption fee. If you would like to meet me or are thinking about becoming my forever family, send an email to adoptions.spca@gmail.com as I am private meetings only right now.

Kramer

Hi friends! My name is Kramer. Kramer James. I just turned one in April and I am one of the sweetest cats you’ll meet!

When my foster family first met me, I was living in a cage at the SPCA with my buddy Softy. I was pretty skittish then. I didn’t trust humans a lot, and when I first came to my foster home, I hid. But soon, something important happened: I discovered comfy armchairs, and tasty treats. Do you know how amazing those are? Golly, I don’t think I left that first armchair for a week, it was so comfy. I just chirped at my foster parents to come pet me. Those things helped me come out my shell, and I think life with human families are pretty great now.

My foster parents say I am quite the character. Two of my favorite activities are 1) sashaying around the house with my favorite toys (sparkly puff balls) while chirping, and 2) getting groomed. I love when you brush my long, soft fur. I am even patient with getting my claws trimmed, eyes wiped—you name it. I love being pampered! Oh, and I also LOVE to snuggle. I love curling up in bed with my foster people at night.

I also love hanging out with other cats. There are both female and male cats in my foster home, young and old. I do well with them all. I will spend hours watching birds out the window with the older cats. And I love to wrestle with the younger cats. Sometimes I like to bug my older foster brother, but even then—I am good when boundaries are set. With proper introductions, I would do well with a cat buddy in my forever home.

I have had limited interaction with dogs and young children—both scared me quite a bit. But, a lot of new things scare me due to my past. My forever family will need to understand this and be patient with me as I transition.

One other thing you need to know about me—I have chronic gastrointestinal issues. My foster family has worked hard to find a food that works well for me. We have tried many diets, supplements, probiotics, and more together. What works for me is freeze dried raw food. One brand I have liked so far is Only Natural Pet, which is available at Petsmart and online.

Though I am stable on this diet now, my sensitive tummy is still something my forever family will have to be aware of, and something they may have to continue working with me on. My foster mama will be happy to talk to you more about this.

My adoption fee is $150; I am up-to-date on my vaccines including rabies, am neutered and microchipped. All of this is included in my adoption fee. Please email adoptions.spspca@gmail.com if you are interested in meeting me! I can’t wait!

Softy

Howdy, world! My name is Softy. Or, as my foster family calls me, “Softy Peets.” I just turned one in April. My foster mama thinks that I probably got my name because I have the softest, silkiest fur this side of the Mississippi.

When my foster parents first met me, I was living in a cage at the SPCA. I was pretty skittish and not so trusting of people. Now, you would hardly believe it. I do get a little scared with fast movements or loud noises, but boy, do I love people. I am a HUGE snuggle bug. I am the first cat in bed with my foster parents at night, and the last one to get up in the morning (I definitely don’t mind if you hit snooze, even if we have to delay breakfast). I love to make biscuits on soft blankets.

I do really well with other cats. There are both female and male cats in my current home, older and younger, and I get along with them all. I especially do well with young adult cats around my age and enjoy wrestling and chasing with them. I also enjoy snoozing with them in the sun. I would do well with another cat buddy in my forever home.

I have had limited interaction with dogs and small children. I think with slow, proper introductions, I could do well with children. I let my foster parents’ toddler nephew pet me gently on visits, with supervision. Though wary, I am also curious.

With dogs, I would likely be more scared.

Ever since my foster family met me, I have struggled with chronic gastrointestinal issues. I have a very sensitive tummy. The food that my foster family has found that works great for me is Stella & Chewy’s. I can eat either the freeze dried raw food, or the raw coated kibble. My foster family has helped me try many different diets and foods, but this is what works for me—luckily I LOVE this food. Though I am stable on this food now, my sensitive tummy is still something my forever family will have to be aware of, and something they may have to continue working with me on.

My adoption fee is $150; I am up-to-date on my vaccines including rabies, am neutered and microchipped. All of this is included in my adoption fee. Please email adoptions.spspca@gmail.com if you are interested in meeting me! I can’t wait!

Delilah

Hello all! My original name was Delilah but my foster family now calls me Lady Gray. I was rescued along with two siblings which were adopted pretty quickly. I was still pretty scared and needed more time. My original foster moved and I ended up at the SPCA building in a cage by myself until my new foster family came to the rescue. I was very skittish but loved to be petted on my terms. My foster allowed me the time I needed to trust people before I was introduced to other cats which I love. I am non-confrontational and really appreciate a good head rub so I can show off my kneading and purring skills. I am learning that it is ok to be picked up but it is still not my favorite thing. I need an experienced cat owner with other cats so I can continue my progress. I would love to have a forever home and be your companion. I am a year old, up-to-date on shots, microchipped, and spayed. My foster mom believes I would do best with a private meeting at her house.
