Markie

Markie is a tough little guy. When he was first rescued, we thought he was very sick and underweight. We soon found out that it was because he is allergic to chicken and other poultry. We started him on salmon kitten food and he’s been great ever since. He especially loves eating his wet food.

Markie loves his play toys, laser lights, and belly rubs. In his foster home, he had fun playing with cats, dogs, and kids. He is a sweet boy and ready for his forever home.

Markie is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his shots. This is covered by his $150 adoption fee. Come meet Markie at Petsmart on Milwaukee this week! Email adoptions.spspca@gmail.com with any questions.

Schwarzi

Schwarzi is a very affectionate super sweet cat. She will sleep in bed next to you, likes to be picked up and jumps up to your lap. Unfortunately it will take time for her to warm up. She is very affectionate so she is not very fond of sharing attention. So a house with no other pets and no small children would be best. Schwarzi had a teenage pregnancy and the first few months of her being pregnant & a young mom were not easy. She is very scared when she meets people first and also fights if she feels pushed in a corner and feels she is trapped and can't escape. Her current fosters gave her lots of time and love and she turned out to be a perfect cat! Please give her a chance. She will give you back all the love she has to give.
Her medical is fully done and available for private meetings. Her adopted fee is 150$ and covers her spay vaccinations rabies shot etc.

Scooter

My name is Scooter. I am a special needs kitten born 3-17-21.  I have moderate to severe CH, which is a condition that causes balance issues.  My disability makes it difficult for me to stand and walk. I do most of my movement flipping and flopping but I get around fine.
I stayed with my mom for 6 weeks then my foster picked me up to help me learn to eat and function on my own. It has been a process but I have gone from being dropper fed to soft spoon scoops to eating on my own.  I lay to eat food and drink water from silicone bowls so I don’t chip my teeth.  I am now eating exclusively dry food which is much less of a mess.
I also lay in the litter box to do my business and I do not have accidents outside the litter box.  My foster sometimes helps me cover up the poop and pee in the box but it makes me very angry.  I am a pretty independent kitten and want to do it by myself.  I do not know I have a disability.
When I was younger, I stayed in an enclosure mostly for my own protection.  Now I have free roam of the house.  I go from room to room on my own.  I avoid tile and wood floors-carpets and rugs are my friends and helpful to me.
I play like all other kittens and will purr for you when petted or picked up.  However, I am not really a lap cat.  I prefer to be in the floor and independent.  I am looking for a forever family that has experience with CH or is willing to learn.  I would love to meet you at my foster’s home.  I am fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and neutered. My adoption fee is $150.  Please email adoptions.spspca@gmail.com if you are interested in meeting me.

Pancake

Pancake is 4.5 months old.  She is slow to warm up and may be shy at first. When she does get used to you, she will probably follow you around a lot because she likes company. She would do better if adopted with one of her siblings or in a home with another friendly cat. After she gets comfortable she also enjoys cuddling and being petted. She will also tolerate being held for short amount of time.
She is very playful. She is usually the first cat to engage in wrestling or other playtime activities.  Pancake, is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines, which is covered by her $150 adoption fee.
